Catechism

Catechism plays a vital role in nurturing faith and deepening the understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why is catechism important? It encourages personal reflection and a deeper relationship with God, it fosters connections among church members as we learn and grow together, it also prepares the children for the next important step in their faith journey which is First Communion.

In the St. Toma catechism program our curriculum focuses on scripture, sacraments, and prayer. Children learn from the bible and its relevance to their everyday life as well as learning the importance of the meaning of the sacraments and the impact it has in their overall life. Children are also exposed to multiple ways of prayer that they can implement and reflect on.

This is all done through our interactive classes held every Saturday morning. Our teachers incorporate discussions, games, and videos to engage students and reinforce learning.
